Southwest Subs
No donuts yet. No Char-Grill yet. But the Jimmy Johns at Hope Valley Commons is open now. The guys had dinner from there; subs are $3.50. Hubby discovered if you get a “plain” no toppings (AKA kid-friendly) sub with just meat & cheese, it is only $2.99. Not bad for a “Actually, I didn’t make any dinner plans” evening. (Note, it’s located in the outparcel behind the Jiffy Lube, facing 751.)

At the 9th Street store, if a kid yells “Jimmy Johns is awesome!”, he gets a free cookie. Seriously. The girls have done this twice now.
Oh, wow! We’ll try that!
That reminds me that at the 9th street JJ, one time the sandwich maker came out to our table to tell us that how the girl was sitting on the stool (a little sideways on the edge) was not safe b/c he’d seen kids fall before. The stools are pretty high, and I thought that was incredibly thoughtful of him to tell us.
Have you seen a date for the opening of Char-Grill? It’s no Cook Out, but we’re eagerly awaiting our own big juicy hamburgers!
No, but I’m stalking them!
