New Pineywood Park Playground

The Pineywood Park playground was renovated in the last week, and the town is abuzz with reports of how fun the new equipment is. Everything is so shiny! There are some unique climbing features, too. We observed it was appropriate for all ages… at least 1 year through 8 years old. Here are some photos we took today.

Pineywood Park is located on the Woodcroft Parkway inside the Woodlake Community.

The bathrooms have not been renovated, but this has been one of my favorite things about Pineywood. The bathrooms are separated into individual stalls, allowing more privacy. I also took a headshot so you can see how clean they are. I picked a random stall.

  1. Where is this new playground? I’ve only seen the ballfields at this park.

  3. When you enter the park, if you go to the right you get to the ballfields. If you go to the left and park in the lot, you’ll see the bathrooms. Around to the right of the bathrooms is the picnic shelter. If you take the path behind you while you’re facing the picnic shelter, you get to the dog park and also the playground. The playground is nestled in the trees right beside the dog park.

  5. i’m tempted to link to some pictures of what the bathrooms in Duke Park look like, but i don’t want to get into a pissing contest.

  7. No pun intended, surely. :) No need to share with me; we’ve been. I actually posted those shots because someone asked if the Piney Wood bathrooms had been renovated because they noticed the Duke Park ones had not been when the playground was. So what’s up with that?
