Drought-resistant plants

I’ve been looking for a place that listed native plants for our area. Here’s one showing drought-resistant trees and shrubs for Durham.

University Marketplace

There are signs all over the buildings at the corner of University Drive and Shannon Road telling us that University Marketplace is coming soon. I hope that we’ll still have the great view of the sunset from what is now the 15-501 side of the parking lot. We’ll be watching out for the demolition of the old Kroger because that sounds like a fun field trip!

Drought, Still

Driving down 751 past Jordan Lake hits home that we are really in a severe drought. One side of the bridge is a receding puddle; the other, a stream surrounded by bright green new grass growing in the lake bed.
