I was curious if there were any web cams in Durham.

i don’t think the WXDU DJ Cam has worked for a couple of years. i don’t expect it will get back online any time soon either. sorry to break it to you.
neat to see the other cams in durham, though. :)
For a long time, the WRAL traffic cams were impossible for me to understand. The labeling (as to whether the cams were pointed eastbound or westbound) made no damned sense whatsoever, and I could never figure out which way I was looking. I don’t know if they’re better now. I just know that I don’t look. Fortunately, I don’t have to drive during rush hour very often.
Yes, hooray for no rush hour driving! It’s a pretty neat feature that you can just mouse over the icons and show the cams, though.
I wondered about that WXDU cam… the last time I looked it was a test pattern, too. Well, we’ll hope.
I always see the web cam in the butterfly house at the museum, but then I can never find it on their web site. I don’t know if it’s “real.”
Last we went, it was gone. One can now visit undocumented! It was linked to an external science site.
Here’s a couple more webcams for you. The first is also at the DBAP, pointed out from inside the bowl toward the new Diamond Vision building beyond left-center (extra points to me for all of the prepositions). The second is of the Performing Arts Center. There is (was?) a camera installed at Little Five Points, but I forget the URL for that one.

Thanks! It’s nice to see (watch?) progress on that construction.
