How Many Homeschoolers in Durham
I fancied that I knew all the homeschoolers in Durham, or at least could do the “someone-who-knew-someone-I-knew.” Those degrees of separation are going to have to work hard, though, because I just read in a Durham Public Library news release (about new Sunday hours at the library) that there are 1,100 homeschooled kids in Durham. I’m surprised at the number!

Hello. I just stumbled onto this amazing resource. I am fairly new to the area and just thinking about homeschooling now. I was actually searching for Durham homeschooling groups. Any suggestions?
Sure! Here are some that Durham people participate in (even though not all are in Durham):
North Carolina Home Educators (http://www.nche.org)
Christian Homeschoolers, Durham: http://www.cheagd.org/
Chapel Hill Homeschoolers: http://www.chapelhillhomeschoolers.com/
THEA (word of mouth, but ask around)
