Turtle Pond, with Bullfrog

At the far end of Duke Gardens, opposite of the duck pond, is a much smaller pond with green water plants, turtles and their spring green babies, and a bullfrog or two. The longer you sit quietly, the more little dark green heads poke up out of the water to look at you.

   Hi I’m 11 years old and I live here in Durham. I am doing a camp at Duke Gardens, and I sometimes hear something that sounds like a bullfrog.(that explains it!) There’s this one pond, I’m not sure where it is, but we were feeding the ducks and 5 turtles came instead!

   Oh, the camp sounds fun! I think you must have been at the pond in the Asiatic Gardens. There are a lot of ducks there, and lots of turtles, too!
