Turtle Pond, with Bullfrog

At the far end of Duke Gardens, opposite of the duck pond, is a much smaller pond with green water plants, turtles and their spring green babies, and a bullfrog or two. The longer you sit quietly, the more little dark green heads poke up out of the water to look at you.

  1. Hi I’m 11 years old and I live here in Durham. I am doing a camp at Duke Gardens, and I sometimes hear something that sounds like a bullfrog.(that explains it!) There’s this one pond, I’m not sure where it is, but we were feeding the ducks and 5 turtles came instead!

  3. Oh, the camp sounds fun! I think you must have been at the pond in the Asiatic Gardens. There are a lot of ducks there, and lots of turtles, too!
