Bull Durham
Picked up a copy of Bull Durham tonight from Visart (no, not the first time). Too bad, for obvious reasons, that I can’t show it to the boy. He’d recognize the landmarks. Funny how some of the advertisers on the ball park wall are still around (Satisfaction, Brame) and some aren’t (This End Up furniture, “Cablevision”). Notable that this was really filmed in Durham. Even more notable was the scary bull mascot. Was that accurate? Thank goodness for Wool E.

Were you aware the the “Hit Bull Win Steak” sign was added to the DAP for the movie?
Yes, thanks for adding that!
Why can’t the boy watch it? (I’ve never seen it.)
You have not seen it? Why you should! You will recognize places, and it is a good movie besides.
The gist of the movie is that Susan Sarandon’s character Annie “nurtures” one baseball player each season with her, um, poetry & stuff.
