Durham Viruses

Virii? We went to Urgent Care last week for unrelated reasons, and the doctor said there are 600 viruses going around Durham right now. For the good news part of this, we seem to have only contracted about 5 of them this year. I thought it seemed like a heavy year, but 5/600 isn’t too bad.

Durham Library Branches

We hit the Durham Main Library in Downtown Durham a lot, because of the great children’s room, and we also visit our neighborhood branch in Southwest Durham. Only occasionally can we come up with an excuse to visit another branch. We did that yesterday… there were a few books I wanted to get for the boy’s classroom that were only available at North Regional. It’s the new branch, you know. What a bright, visually captivating, place. The kids had fun on the squiggly benches and reading magazines while I picked out the few books I needed. The librarians were helpful, and it was great to see so many teenagers enjoying the resources, too. It’s not that far away; we’ll go again.
